A MarketPlace of Ideas

We have indeed won in Iraq.  Now how to execute.  Its stupid some guy in his condo livingroom has a better thought out strategy than the guys within the Whitehouse and proxies without. 

OK. Here goes:

1)  First of all STOP DOING DAMAGE to our victory.  You fudgeholes stop wooing Syria and Iran.  Nothing in the world is going to bring gold out of the pile of dung that they are. 

2) Do not worry about the internicine fighting between Sunni and Shit-e Muslims.  There is a gunfight between the Sunni’s and the Shit-es and I am rooting for both sides.  To think we can influence the final outcome of this is to believe ourselves to hold off the ocean’s tide by force of sheer will.  As someone wise once said “You can not force the river”

3) Back the Kurds to the hilt.  This is the absolute most important thing we can do.  If you want to get out of Bagdad fine. That will let the Darwinistic sorting out that is occuring to continue apace.  Pull out of Bagdad and elsewhere into the Kurdish area and start building up a nice airbase there.  Leave enough of our guys there to make it abundantly clear that an attack on Kurdistan is an attack on the troops of the United States.  

Last of all why in hell did Gates sell out Israels nuclear ambiguity policy ?   REALLLY  DUMB guys.  Get your balls back Bush. In the mean time shut Baker and Gates the hell up.   Talk about fumbling the ball. 

There has been a steady drumbeat of libs, lefties and even feckless conservative commentators that have been wringing their hands about Iraq.   They are all out of focus.  The tightest focus I can get on the situation follows.

When we caught Saddamn we won.  It puts every petty thug dictator on notice that we can reach out and touch you in the  most sophisticated of ways.  To wit we can capture you alive.  You won’t die any glorious death.  We’ll put you in a cell and then on trial. 

This is important.  When someone finally pulls the trigger and a few nukes go off the culprit will be caught.  One way or another.  You maybe some version of invulnerable before you trigger your nukes but after no way.  A case in point in the nut-job in Iran.  Right now its assumed he and his nuke making friends are safe.  Probably so.  But if he uses one of them he will find himself in a cell too.  And after a fair trial he will be hanged.

You might think we won’t go in after they use nukes. That it is too dangerous.  But that is because you have been conditioned / programmed by the media to think nukes are unsurvivable or that old boogy man radiation can not be dealt with.  The fact is we’ll soften them up first.  We will reprogram their society with bombs of our own.  Then we will go in and grab the sorry sonofabitch. 

So we won in Iraq. 

You can game it all you want.  Maybe we should have left immediately after catching Saddamn.  There are alot of what - ifs that follow after that.  But the big picture is we won.

The only way we can lose is by following the “Iraq Study Group” and their suggestions.  The only term I have in my vocabulary for this process or report or whatever you call it is Chinese Cluster Fuck.  

There is no other term that hits it so precisely.

 A typical hysterical result when people lose their nerve is to look for others to feed them a solution. Panic behavior is not given to deep thought.   Study groups are what politicians resort to when they are in a panic.
