A California lawmaker wants to make his state the first to ban incandescent lightbulbs as part of California’s groundbreaking initiatives to reduce energy use and greenhouse gases blamed for global warming.

The “How Many Legislators Does it Take to Change a Lightbulb Act” would ban incandescent lightbulbs by 2012 in favor of energy-saving compact fluorescent lightbulbs.

I’ve always hated Flourescent lights.  I get a general feeling of depression and hate the palid colors they render the world in.  This is pretty much the same feeling I get from Libs.  They too render the world in palid dull colors due to their lack of imagination and intellect.  They really are hold overs from the mechanical age when we’re set to squarely enter the middle of the second stage hence.  Can’t we take these morons and divide the country in two?  They can be in the one section and have their own neurotic religious lib policies and I can live in the other part with the rational people.

Well I can predict there is going to be a great grey market selling incandescent bulbs into California if this ban  happens.  Er wait,  Here in the states things are so crazy that if you return pop bottles across state lines its considered pop bottle fraud and its a felony.  While if you return from in stated its considered ok.  So much for environmentalism.   The trouble with liberal policies is I sense the German roots of this country in them.  You know that superior better / smarter than you sniff with the nose in the air attitude.   Yes if you make a grey market in incandescent bulbs after these Stalinist issue a fiat its probably going to be a felony. 

The whole country is going so damn neurotic.  You’re all going Howard Hughes in an external way.

Us normal people will adjust.  If the flourescent bulb uses 1/3 the power I’ll use 3 times the number of bulbs.

I just read the comment on this story as commenting on my writing capabilities.  Isn’t this just like a gay to comment on the STYLE or FASHION of my writing.  Damn boy this is about facts.   Ok Gays, Listen up.  I’m not your enemy.  It appears that the truth is. If you have anal sex its going to tear your rectum. This in turn is a great disease vector. Its not about my writing style oK? Its about you and meth and butt sex.   Can’t you guys think about ANYTHING except fashion.  And no I DO NOT want to be queer eyed. 

And to any sensible gays out there its not about hurting your feelings.  Its been a long time coming that these militants need antagonized. 

I’ve noticed alot of talk about CEO pay and the Billionaire Boom   …..  Frankly I don’t want to hear it.   When the little green men of the world express their jealousy by inviting legislative activities on the issue you expose yourself as a cry baby.  The simple fact is a city such as Los Angelos can be shut down by lack of cooperation.  For example if someone with a pickup truck and a load of cinder blocks distribute said cinder blocks on the LA freeways you can bring the highways to a halt for at least half a day.    I don’t suggest doing it but I do suggest that cooperation is the lifeblood of heavily mechanized societies.  

For this reason I will suggest to you that the only reason why someone can be a billionaire is that we as a people are too lazy to grab their fair share of the economic pie.   The simple fact is that economic / business education in this country is purposely not taught or if it is taught its taught in a totally unrealistic fashion.  Widely teach an unrestrained capitalistic point of view and watch what happens over time.  You’ll find these highly overpaid  babysitters in the form of politicians and billionaires power weakens and eventually their ranks are thinned.  You want highly productive competitive people like Bill Gates.  You do not want billionaire jackasses but only the market can sort this out.  Anyone who would claim to be objective enough to select who is and who is not is by default a jackass themselves.

By accepting fate and not being critical thinkers we make this situation what it is.  No one gets to be a billionaire on their own.  Its simple.  You have to help them.  Think about that with every economic decision you make.  Every time you buy something, everytime you watch a TV show or go to a movie you are support the agenda and people making the product.  Don’t support what you do not agree with whether liberal or conservative.  This is the most effective kind of democracy ever invented.  It far surpasses even the history book version of democracy purveyed by our federal government.

Having done some small amount of business I am completely sure of these concepts.  I am so convinced that I no longer believe that anyone really “writes” a movie script.   I think what happens is that ideas gain popular status in the minds of the people.  Then writers must carefully observe these ideas.  They then build a text around some of these ideas and its made into a movie.  So the “writers” do not create the movie.   You, I and the other guy in the audience create the movies.  It explains why Hollywood movies are so predictable doesn’t it ?    Probably because we are so predictable.

We create all these things with our hero worship and our passive natures.  Why else are sports figures paid so much?  The only sports I enjoy watching are the ones I watch myself do.  ( I also wonder about the possible latent homosexuality of guys who like to watch other sweaty guys,  Put some hot chicks in way hi heels and make them play basketball…..THEN I’ll watch! ).   Your heros should all be personal.  But then a profit is scorned in hometown and virtue is too often neglected. You will have to overcome your own leaden nature to actually wake up and view the people-gems all around you.  Its hard to let go of childish things but don’t you think its time?

I saw this photo of Al Frankin on Drudge but at first glance I wondered who the chubby lady was.  It confirms my suspicions that liberals are low on the testosterone scale.

I’m watching what a feckless path the anti-Bushers are forcing the country to take and thinking.  The main thought is one of consolation.  The consolation takes this form.

1) Whatever the terrorist group or nation state the first detonates a nuke in the USA we have more than they do.  ( I’m depending on this not being Russia or China )

2) Nuclear war is not nearly as deadly as its passed off to be.  Sure its deadly at close proximity.  But the USA is very large and its very likely we can completely rebuild our cities in presently uninhabited lands.   We have many state and national parks that we can shoo the bears out of and build housing developments in. 

Make no mistake, when push comes to shove if anything like a nuclear event occurs we’ll brush picayunish environmental concerns aside.  

Some parts of me get tired of knowing we’re powerless to do anything about Iran having the bomb simply because the Dem’s are willing to weaken the country simply so THEY have the political power.   This sort of thing sometimes makes me think we’d be better off if they did lob one of their small nukes in our backyard so we can systematically take their country apart with a blanket hit on all their major cities.   Of course if it really happened I would not be happy at all.

The dems so remind me of a big brother who would pimp out their little sister for spending money.  These guys especially at the national level have no class.  I can’t be the only one who sees this can I?

So all in all my consolation today is that a nuclear strike is survivable for most of the country.  Maybe the neurotic cause lobby will be shut down on nuclear power by something like this.  It’d be hard to get upset about a lil ole nuclear plant after being hit with a nuclear detonation.

The dems try to feign this that and the other thing in regards Iraq.  They use every excuse to use negative words.  The problem is although they have temporarily suceeded in stampeding the American herd its not something that’s as easy as it used to be.  Yes this is a very old technique they are using.  It has been used since before Vietnam but to its most obvious during that period.  

The problem is the internet.  Voices like mine, the booksmart with high IQ AND street smarts AND one other critical element…….the voice of the free thinking non-conformist were not available.  In corporate America a certain premium is paid for being the soothing voice.  In order to reach the highest levels of journalism you had to stroke god knows what to get to the top.  Not any more. Drudge is proof of that.

The proof is solid as concrete in front of a guy jumping off the Empire State Building.   Look how hard the dem’s and the media searched.  The first traction if any they got was the abu graib story.  Now if ever there was a non-story this was it.  In a country previously ruled by Saddamn for the media to bleet like they did only proved one thing.  It proved they were cowards and George W Bush is a relative gentleman.   Were George anything like Saddamn these wimps would have said not a single word.  Part of it would have been intimidation and part would have been their whorish attraction to the pimps of power.   And they think they’re such independent rogues defending freedom.  Talk about self-delusion.  Yet the antique media and the dems ( redundant terms ) played Abu Graib for all it was worth. 

So now the pictures in focus.  They did and do what they do not for the good of the country unless its simply by coincidental accident.  They do what they do to gain power.  Its why I keep repeating that they are not a viable political option any more.  They’re a rotting dead body and they don’t even know it yet.   The new media is going to fillet them like a brook trout at some point and there will be no recovering.  What is transparent to me will soon be made transparent to others and it won’t be pretty for them.

Think about it a little.  Still do not accept it?  Another thought experiment.   Where would the dems be if in the next 2 years the Iraq effort is successful?  The obvious answer is “in the shitter”.   They will do everything they can to undermine the effort and portray it as a failure regardless of any reality on the ground good or bad.

Exerpted arty: No Cornucopia in Mexico

Tortilla prices have tripled or quadrupled in some parts of Mexico since last summer. On Jan. 18, Calderón announced an agreement with business leaders capping tortilla prices at 78 cents per kilogram, or 2.2 pounds, less than half the highest reported prices. The president’s move was a throwback to a previous era when Mexico controlled prices — the government subsidized tortillas until 1999, at which point cheap corn imports were rising under the NAFTA trade agreement. It was also a surprise given his carefully crafted image as an avowed supporter of free trade

It would be laughable were it not rather sad.  In a country the size of Mexico there should be adequate corn.  Are our liberals down there with trucks feeding the people they have helped to drive up corn prices on?  Anyone with business sense including me was predicting last summer that corn prices would be going up.  The predictable arbitrage in corn came and now Mexican tortilla prices are up.   There is nothing wrong with this per se.  Its the free market at work and will busily stimulate corn production.  However it is a bit artificial because for every 1 unit of hydrocarbon fossil fuel energy put in we get out around 1.2 units of energy from the corn.  This is simply not good enough for our heavily mechanized society. 

So now the authoritarian government of Mexico is attempting to dictate to the tides to rise and to what level.  You may not see it that way. Maybe you think you can dictate to millions of people what to do but that’s not how it happens.  Millions of people hide behind one another thankfully and ignore your lib / authoritarian dictats.  In groups of people as large as ones that make up “economies” their behavior is largely statistical and mimic many behaviors of physical systems. Not even Stalinist Nancy Pelosi or President of Mexico can command gravity to cease to be a law.   

Lesson: Politicians and government do not create GNP of any type!  Most of their “solutions” make problems worse!  In this particular case the authoritarian nature of the Mexican government has made the Mexican economy so fragil it can’t even cope with corn prices going up.

For my part I hope the Mexican corn crisis is alleviated soon because I have found the poor in Mexico to be very friendly people that I have a good place in my heart for.  On the other hand its only realistic to assume that until Mexico gives up this lib / authoritarian / dem style way of governing their country that their people will be trapped in fragil circumstances that lead to this sort of situation where something as simple as the commodity corn can cause a crisis.  Socialists / authoritarian / Dem / lib policies seek to stifle business and free enterprise.  Business, Free enterprise they are only synonyms for natural human behavior that happens when people are free and happy.  They are only called business and free enterprise when someone in government seeks to tax them.  It takes the human out of the equation.  De-humanizing someone is the first step to convincing one group to take advantage of another group.

I live in Arizona. I have been to Mexico many times. In the town of Sonoyta you can see the short older indian women standing around a round frying table making tortillas.  You can not imagine how good fresh tortillas are.  For a Mexican with a good yet very simple life this food is a great deal of your joy in life.  Hell I even think alot about how good they are! ( I only can get the derivative white-asized version here in Phoenix if I do not want to drive to the border).  Put yourself in the Mexicans place. They’re going to be suffering as they eat these cheesy Top Ramen noodles.  For you soft pudgy Americans who lack imagination its like you’re addicted to video games and the power goes out. You jones to play your game, no joy at all.  Er well except in this case you get hungry too. 

As a side note this situation really contrasts what is wrong with libs.  They think they are Princes and Princesses.  They think they can dictate outcomes with a flick of their pinky.  This flagrant egotism of the libs is criminal.  The outcomes are bad.  They are the ones that pushed for ethanol.  All for their Environmental Religion. 

Backgrounder on authors position

1) I am a right winger.  Many libs would try to make the case that I am anti-poor.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  In fact I am poor as I trying to start my own business,  I do without health insurance etc.  ( by USA standards, and in fact I do not complain to anyone about it! Whiners are Wusses ! )   I think conservatives are the only true advocate the poor have ! 

2) I love latin american for the warm hearts of the honest peoples that live there.  I disinclude their abundant criminals by saying this.  The emotional nature results in a fraction of the people being able to justify anything.  In fact I am working towards living in Brazil.
