Take Note Congressional Republicans, A Little Authenticity goes a Long Way against a Political Yugo

The dems policies are akin to a Yugo, They wear out Quickly.

Congressional republicans and even GW Bush seem to be a little bit confused or in panic.  They appear to be having a hard time deciding what to do.  I can see what’s happening and have some sure thing advice.

First of all think back to when you were in high school.  Remember how annoying the people were who ran for class president.   All the politicians in Washington D.C. think somehow they escape this and that they aren’t like that annoying high school candidate.  The fact is they’re quite similar.  Their vacant nature can’t hide they are there for the sake of a needy ego.   Just like people who get tattoos its not about what they want but rather their sad addiction to the approval of others.

So here is the advice.  Use your brain.  Engineer a solution to the Iraq problem if there is indeed really a problem.  If there is not then set about methodically exposing the dems for the charlatans they are.  It should be simple.  They are so damn clownish. Any normal person with some basic critical thinking skills can tear their charade apart.   Set your mental frame of reference NOT to be your own popularity but rather effect the ends you want regardless of how much you are loved or the good press you will receive.  In the end the press will sense your power and be attracted to it like the aphrodesiac. They are like mothes to a flame in this regard.

I guess I am telling you republicans to have some fiber and not to be so damn external.  Chess is a thinking mans game.  The problem is our society seems to be run by golfers.  Maybe that should change.  We’re in a different age now.  Every politician I’ve ever seen with the exception of Reagan seems to be played by their own ego like a puppit on strings.

This war on terror needs to be fought like a game of chess. We can’t afford the simple mindedness of the democrats and we surely can’t afford the Republicans to be irresolute since at this particular juncture in American history they are the only viable choice we have.  The dems are really letting the country down in this regard.  All markets benefit greatly from vibrant competition.   Right now in politics we are in the equivalent of the early 70’s with Detroit cars.  The cars kind of work and we have no other viable alternative so we keep buying the GM.   To shift the analogy the democrats are selling the policy equivalent of a Yugo.  Its cheap and easy but in short order their method breaks down.

Not even Xzibit will be able to pimp the dems ride enough to keep it running very long

Political Review of Scripts is an Illuminating Solution to a Self Created Problem

In Rayleigh, North Carolina it is being proposed by a Republican lawmaker that any movie script being subsidized by state tax money to be made into a movie be reviewed before any production begins.  Ooooh…. that sounds reasonable right?

Original arty here:  Political Review of Movies

Exerpt:  Citing the controversy surrounding the Dakota Fanning film Hounddog, the leader of the state Senate Republicans says he wants the government to review scripts before cameras start rolling in North Carolina. That system, said state Sen. Phil Berger, R-Rockingham, would apply only to films seeking the state’s lucrative filmmaker incentive, which refunds as much as 15 percent of what productions spend in North Carolina from the state treasury.

First reaction of a normal citizen would have you say 1) gee yes movies should be reviewed  2) but wait do we want politicos doing the Stalin bit on movies ??  Heck no.

The problem is too many people do not do the 3rd step in the thought process.  One way of getting to the 3rd step is to realize that BOTH movie content can be inappropriate and so can government review.   Is the light going on yet?  The 3rd step in the though process is to realize that the government has no business shaping opinion in any form using tax money or otherwise.  Therefore the real solution is to cut absolutely all subsidies that would be used to make movies.  In fact the same argument applies to PBS and anti-smoking campaigns.  Individual politicians should be able to make their case but never I repeat never should they be able to use the government to purvey their outlooks.  Using the government to do this is a  Tumor-causing, teeth-staining, smelly, puking habit.

And here is the REALLY BIG POINT: All too often government and especially the dems try to sell a solution to a problem they themselves created.  An example would be healthcare.  Many dems propose universal socialized medicine.  Yet they help create the problem with excessive lawsuits by their constituents the trial lawyers and by providing a capacity to pay which in a market economy naturally drives prices up.

When you think to solve problems the first thing you should look for is the things you did to create the problem.
