A MarketPlace of Ideas                        

The Europeans appear to be driving towards criminalizing the denial of the Jewish and Rwandan holocausts.  At the same time they seek to avoid mentioned the Stalinist purges and the Armenians under the Turks.  

This demonstrates 2 very problematic aspects.

1- who decides what you are allowed to deny and what you are not allowed to deny ?  Thus in the future if an ethnic group falls out of favor speech about their maltreatment can be criminalized or at least highly disincentivised.  What’s that sound like ?  Nazi Germany. 

   ….. appears like they will institutionalize fighting the LAST war while the new one ends up killing new victims not mentioned in the law they propose.  This is proven by the ability of political consensus to prevent the Armenians being mentioned.

2- Free speech is free speech.  You either have it or you don’t.  If you don’t you slide over quite close to the edge of dictatorship.  Your government maybe perfectly just and kind today.  But in short order you’ll get old and die. You won’t be around to maintain the status quo.  In the future your country could incite reprehensible acts.

    ….. a good example is Germany. Today they are all cuddly and socialist.  But Nazi stood for NATIONAL SOCIALIST and it happened in Germany.   My close relatives are all very nice american germans.  Hearts as big as cars.  How can this be?

The Europeans are way socialist and I chuckle because their thinking is just a linearly extrapolated version of American liberals.  They just can’t shoot straight.  By trying to legislate acceptable thoughts and speech they insure that the sociopaths will have more power and leverage should they find their way to power.

Do not mistake this for minimizing the deaths throughout history including the jewish holocaust.  I’m such an independent thinker I wonder if I’m actually the same species of human as some of the folks throughout history.  I don’t have any compelling need to fit in and go with the crowd.

Want to help prevent the next holocaust?  Work very very hard and learn yourself and why you feel the compulsion to go with the crowd.  Always question your actions.  Get in touch with your humanity.  Its you who understand these words that must work together to restrain those who do not.  This does not always mean war and it does not always mean peace.  It may hurt when you think but everyday requires to be analyzed anew.

This article is all the more important when you consider that repeatedly American liberals proclaim we should emulate European socialists.  Not a good idea.

I think he would fit right in.  He has the look.  Maybe its time John Edwards came out of the closet. Can you see him in a super tight set of levi’s rubbing up on Jack saying you da man Jack, You da man!

John Edwards will be on Will and Grace eating caramel corn clusters in the closet……er ah maybe he’ll play Jack Tripper in the remake of Three’s Company

My argument against the Edwards candidacy is now formally different.  We can not elect him because I do not want to watch the Will and Grace show for 4 years.  Its a boring show that derives its skits from other TV classics.  VERY boring.  Only reason to watch is Debra Messing if you are hetero.

Monday, April 16, the British National Union of Journalists voted to boycott Israeli goods as part of a protest against last year’s war in Lebanon. The vote, carried 66 to 54, read: “This ADM calls for a boycott of Israeli goods similar to those boycotts in the struggles against apartheid in South Africa. It also called for sanctions to be imposed on Israel by the British government and the United Nations.

This proves what we conservatives have known for some time now.  The media is liberal biased and journalists are nuckin futs.  Israel for whatever it is, is a vastly superior choice over the pathologically insane behavior of the Palestinians / Lebanese muslim militias and their Iranian backers.  Journalists like pathologic liars like Bill Clinton.  What is it that draws a journalist to psychopaths like moths to a flame? 

This is the type of thing that makes me think I should trust none of the spew out of the journalistic puke machine.  The choice is so obvious here and they made the wrong one.  How can I expect they’ll get the harder stories correct ?  There is no reason to believe.
