State Officials Tuesday defended their decision to suddenly separate mothers from many of the children taken in a raid on a polygamist ranch in West Texas. Texas Children’s Protective Services spokeswoman Marleigh Meisner said the separation was made Monday after they decided that children are more truthful in interviews about possible abuse if their parents are not around.
The Government is burning people out again metaphorically in Texas. Who in their right mind separates children from their parent? Our system is rife with single parent families that are no less strange. Welfare momma’s with baby’s daddys that run at 4 men per four children are a good example. We do not raid their homes. We tear them down and build them bright shiney new ones for the taggers to put their graffiti on. We don’t raid them. We send them bigger welfare checks.
Now all of a sudden because these polygamists in Texas have the wrong religion the government separates Mother from Child. Let me tell you the USA already practices Polygamy on a wide scale. The Texas Religious group dares practice it SPATIALLY while others in our society practice it TEMPORALLY. ( that is to say some practice in space dimension and some in time dimension ). What do I mean by time based polygamy?
Time based polygamy is when a woman has relations with a man that results in child(ren) and then moves forward in time and repeats. Just because she was not with the guys at the same time does not make it functionally anything less than polygamist on her part.
Get used to it. Our society is not as neat and clean as your little mind thinks it is. The world is full of crazy mixtures. And knowing this you can’t justify separating mother from child. And it seems awfully ripe for a law suit for some pretty extensive psychological trauma. I suspect that this is an effort as much to punish as it is to question. They know they can not arrest the mothers. That would never fly. Who is going to convict a lady of anything if her only “crime” is that she had a child with a man that has multiple wives? No…this is their punishment for these ladies.
Author here notes: I am atheist and thus contend I see this more clearly than others who might have competing religious ideas that lead them to in a competitive manner want to see these people treated badly. I just do not have any skin in this fight other than I love children and hate seeing this sort of tactic used against the ones that love them most, their parent(s).
Update: The April 3 raid on the Yearning For Zion Ranch was prompted by a call made to a family violence shelter, purportedly by a 16-year-old girl who said her 50-year-old husband beat and raped her. That girl has never been identified. …. so if you don’t like someone just drop a dime and make and unsubstantiated charge. They’ll take the victims kids away from them!
