…… I’m not quite dead yet  ( Notice it says SERIES HYBRID on the side??? Talk about blowing a 10 year lead! )

We’re going hard towards electric cars now that gas is going above 4 dollars per gallon.  Watch the videos. See if you agree.

Don’t get your hopes up too high that the cost of operation will be lower than gas.  Just like with ethanol if we use electricity for transport fuel it is sure to elevate the price thereof. Price pressure will be intense.  However it will help keep the money in country by using coal, nuclear and natural gas to power.  And give me a break if you think wind power is going to be cheap.

This first video is so you can compare and realize how much engineering is going into the full up professional versions of electric cars.

The EVette - Do not laugh too hard unless you have an engineering degree and can do better!

Below is a sequence of videos showing various development efforts.

Chevy Volt is on high priority track inside GM  - you know once GM starts doing it, it’s only a matter of time.  And indeed you could have said that with the Impact even though all those have been crushed.  It was a harbinger of things to come

Mitsubishi - In wheel motors also  - I think this is the long term solution as its so space efficient and energy is not lost through long transmission machinery
