In the late 70’s Jimmy Carter exhorted us to wear a sweater in reaction to high energy costs.  It as a "let them eat cake" moment.  Rather than do something about short supplies of oil his reaction was

• put on sweater
• eat cake
• do jumping jacks

Of course anyone alive at the time knows this was not received well.

Barrack Obama’s version of this Jimmy Carter Moment  with his " Inflate your tires" speech.

Clipping an exerpt from this arty we read the following:

Kaine’s position as governor of a state the Obama campaign hopes to make a key battleground and his background as a Spanish-speaking former Catholic missionary and civil rights lawyer make him a strong potential pick.

So this guy is a lawyer and another civil rights greivance ambulance chaser.   The logical question is this:  Imagine Obama and Kaine driving down a lonely country road.  Their car gets a flat.  Which one of these guys is going to change the freakin tire?   Neither.  They would both not know how.  They would have to wait for some innocent bystander to drive by and flag them down.  Then under threat of being sued the surprised motorist will be coerced into changing the tire for the 2 lawyers.  Holy crap Bush picked a really capable guy as his VP.  Contrast that with B.O.’s choice.

Grievance lawyers.  No matter what you do its going to be wrong.  They make their living by sueing people and if there are none around?  They are coming for you…….

• Get more comfortable.  Look like you are in love with America instead of with a case of mild senatorial allergic reaction to public speaking.
• Shorten the speeches.  Focus them.  Instead of a bunch of wild haymakers hit with concisely precisely thrown punch combinations
• Forget senate "comity" .  This is about the future and protecting America from a wild eyed liberal.  Look like you are ready to fight for that rather than have a senatorial discussion. Appeal to Americas love of a divided government with opposite parties in control of the congress and the presidency.
• Get comfortable NOW with a teleprompter or do not use one
• Pick your issue and bury him with it
• Realize that at its core democrat and Obama policy is anti technology…..America loves technology
• Realize that at its core democrat and Obama policy is elitist.

Example Speech - beat him to death with the reality of his energy policy   AND the reality that democrat policy and Obama at their core are very elitist.

Phase 1 energy policy - first leg

Ladies and Gentleman while our generous mother called the American economy is giving birth to the new energy technologies the bank is in the process of repossessing the family house.  

While I advocate a no hold barred approach towards energy development of all types my opponent would risk America competing in the world economy with one hand tied behind our backs.  

He opposes allowing oil drilling where we have it.  He opposes nuclear power or  more importantly or liberal democrat controlled congress opposes it and they will be unchecked under a Barrack Obama presidency.

I will oppose the wild eyed out of control zealous congress.   My opponent Barrack Obama will let them run amok.

The end result of opposing a no holds barred approach towards energy will be to enrich and concentrate power in the hands of liberal elites who want more power and influence and can easily last the 10 to 20 years its going to take to change over while everyone else is weakened and left to liberal devices.   

Thus not by words but by deeds my opponent is advocating a web 1.0 solution with power of change concentrated in a few hands whilst I support a  more modern web 2.0 solution that allows us all to contribute to changing America over to new energy technologies.

How can this not be when high energy costs are impoverishing by dint of cost of gasoline and with the cost of all items produced here are rising rapidly?   My opponent would have your choices cut off to appease the gods of environmentalism.

For the sake of some left wing god and sacred cows they would sacrifice you and your family on a cross of anti oil rhetoric.  

Phase 2 energy policy - second leg

Ladies and gentleman you need 2 legs to walk.  The first leg is what you push off of.   The second leg is what you stride on to.

My opponent proposes cutting that first leg called petroleum off.  You can’t walk very fast with only one leg.

While my opponent and congress propose strategies that will maximize the pain and in the end prolong our dependence on petroleum I propose we embrace our non-petroleum future.

In the second leg of my energy policy I will support research and development of all types of energy sources alternative and otherwise.   You have to bet on all the horses to be assured of winning.

I will not be held in check by liberal dogma.  My conservative kharma will run over the congresses liberal dogma.

An example is in the area of nuclear fusion technologies.   While we currently fund 1 huge research effort for tokamak fusion …..i n reality we should fund the other approaches also.  We need to fund to some level adequate to allow know if there are any better approaches.

For the cost of a fraction of the liberal socialist social programs we can fund the research that will provide the energy technologies that can propel our cars,  our economy and a spaceship to the  outer solar system.  

Energy policy summary and finale

In summary Americas future lies not in some dogmatic adherence to liberal theology.  It lies in walking on both legs rapidly to the future.  It lies in accepting what are economy is based on and working to make it function on a more advanced energy technology basis.

Its easy for me to see incredible things are ahead.   That is if we do not allow ourselves to be flung into an anti technology dark age such as our congress and Barrack Obama and their militantly anti oil policies. 

Oil has been such a great friend.  Such a great friend that it will help us build a future before it dies of old age.

When I watch Jon Stewart on the DailyShow I find myself turning the channel almost immediately because his scripted pre-canned humor is not very good.   I can see every punch line coming a mile away.   In addition he fancies himself a libertarian.  Of course he could not be more off base.

If you want to watch a show that you will find yourself laughing spontaneously without so much prescripting Fox’s Red Eye you should try.  It reminds me of "The Ghoul" on channel 64 in Cleveland during the 70’s.   Offbeat and a little crazy.  Its a well kept secret playing on Fox at 3 am Eastern Standard time.   Luckily for me in Arizona its on at midnite.

Obama was interested in visiting wounded troops in Germany as long as he thought he could take cameras along.

This type of thing is the hallmark of a true phoney person.

No real Libertarian ever votes democrat.  They hold their noses and vote republican.  Howard was spreading his vote around 

I look forward to the day when there is a viable Libertarian Party so I can avoid voting Republican.  They have spent like drunken sailors.  Unfortunately the unDemocrats are now in power and you can expect them to take that as a challenge to spend even more.  The dynamic is such that if you want to aggregate power you must spend MORE than your predecessor.  Just keeping the spending even with where its at does not result in any additional influence, power or money.  So you can bet your bottom that they’ll spend more in the coming years.

In life there are many dissappointments.   Because of this people are so very hopeful about their politicians.  They promise to make rainbows and unicorns will abound.  How should you react?

You should react with questions.   Firstly if they promise something you should put yourself in their place.  If you were in their place can you think of a way you could accomplish what they are promising.   The vast majority of things politicians promise are practically speaking impossible. An example of this is alternative energy.   They promise so many things but in reality alternative energy is still alternative because the remaining tasks before they can be implemented are large.   In your life you will meet many people who will make promises they can not keep.  You should be more practical.  Dreaming is best done on a personal basis.  When politicians dream too much it usually involves forcing some portion of the populace to do something they just do not want to do.

The problem is your belief in magic makes this sort of charlatan’s life possible.  You allow these creatures the liberty to do things that in the end take more than they give.  You stunt the collective creativity of the nation.  You corrode our values.  The american empire and credit was built upon the foundation of trustworthiness.  It was built upon white midwestern christian values.   I am athiest but its the simplest thing in the world to see.  The predetorial combat of inner city black slums is attractive to no one.  No one wants to deal with a fast talking New Yorker that skins you alive.  Do you think the Europeans will sucker for another scam like the subprime mortgage scam?   Don’t expect them to be so easy next time.  So expect your dollars to be worth less for some time to come.

New meaning to the word FAG-HAG …. or as my father would say …. how many guys died in that wreck?!

The takeaway lesson is you can not cheat a man who is not looking for something for nothing.   You are asking too much of your government and your politicians when you ask them to solve problems.   If you really wanted problems solved you should elect engineers and not lawyers.  Lawyers know how to take from one and give to another.  Furniture rearrangement is their specialty.  You should expect their solution of problems to take the form of moving the problem from one location to a hiding place.   The problem will still exist with the only difference being you can not see it.  While that may make you feel better its stupid.  It not only does not solve the problem it COSTS to move the problem.  Remember lawyers have high fees.   Don’t expect people’s characters to change just because they have been elected.   A lawyer will always be a lawyer.  A politician lawyer?  You should be scared when you hear this phrase.

Geesus it has come to my attention later this woman changed her name from Lisa Druck to Rielle Hunter so not only did Edwards have extremely poor taste in woman but she’s a head case too!  Every woman that I have run into that has changed their name is a head case.  I suppose if you are in the witness protection program its excusable but this lady is not laying low. ( news wise that is ).

I only wish we could perform an abortion on the show.  Retroactive abortion for Sherri please! I mean lordy talk about hard on the eyes.  The only thing bigger than their arses is their stupidity.   Liberal goofs who fancy themselves royalty.  We should all listen to them and do as our liberal bull dyke mommies say. 

When I was young my father made a point of explaining the difference between the phrases "I THINK" and "I KNOW". 

•  "I THINK" should be used in the vast majority of cases.  If you have any doubt at all on a subject then the correct usage is "I THINK"  
• "I KNOW" should only be used when you are dead certain.  This is extremely rare and can be shaded a bit by risks.  For instance if your best friend is standing on the railing on the Empire state building and says "I can fly !  I can fly ! "  it is safe to use the phrase "I KNOW YOU CAN FLY JOE…. DO NOT JUMP!!!"

Thus when you see a politician like Obama acting so very sure of himself you have to know the guy is either lying or really stupid.  Politics deals with areas that are inherently uncertain.  If they were already decided they would not be part of a political decision process by definition!  

Given this analysis you have to laugh when you hear Obama is "already running for his second term"   This guy is a loser.  Don’t buy what he says.  He knows not of what he speaks.
