Logic can be a tricky tool to use.  There is art involved.  You can watch the following embedded video that makes an entirely self consistant case as to why we should talk a certain route with regards MMGW.  However since it is self consistant should we run screaming for mercy from High Priest Al Gore?

No. You see self consistency is an important feature of all cases made logically but it is not the whole story.  You see self consistency can be thought of as a donut of logic.  You start at any point of the donut and travel along it.  Sooner or later you end up at the place you began at.   For example:

• I am a wonderful person - smart and good looking, and humble enough to admit it !
• since I am wonderful then its easy to see I always tell the truth
• since I always tell the truth well gee darn I must really be good looking, smart and humble

Now you see this all self consistent if you allow me enough room to be humorous in my demo case.  Yet clearly there are cases where people fit the complete description and there are cases where people totally do not match the description of wonder, attractive,humble truthful.  Thus self consistency is not enough by itself.  It needs something more!   It needs some objective measurable truth or logic that is ABOVE the whole issue.  That is to say am I really attractive or is that just what my mother tells me?!

In the following video a rather nurdish fellow goes on about MMGW.    He tries to corner you into "acting" on MMGW by a logically self consistent argument.  He appears intelligent however he only thinks he is smart.   While you watch the video mentally replace every reference to "global warming" with one of the following

• alien invasion and that we should all be building spaceships to attack the aliens first
• or better yet send Freemon SandleWould a million dollars - I like this better because Freemon is likely to share with me if you mistakenly still think you must act.

When you mentally replace with one of these phrases you see the blatant flaw!   If his argument was correct you could substitute topics until infinity !!   And quickly do you run out of time, money and attention span to deal with the issues!

Oprah has had all the other candidates on but now she is balking at having on Sarah Palin.  This racist dictator of daytime television does not want to have her on because Palin is white and Obama, the black candidate, is her candidate.  She has already blocked an appearance by Clarence Thomas.  Would it be too sarcastic to call Winfrey a "lightweight".   I mean intellectually of course.  Not only is she dictatorial but she denys the best route to the improvement of the black condition by denying Clarence Thomas.   Clarence Thomas worked his way up.  He has the philosophy that accompanies that.  She probably thinks if Obama is elected that whites can be shamed into some sort of demented slavery reparations.  That will not happen.  It will merely bring back a republican congress that can say "NO" to crazy spending ideas.   After all how would you do it?  Would I receive money for the great great grandfather who lost his life in the civil war fighting in the Ohio regiments?   And show me one living slave from the civil war south?  In the end even if there were reparation one could expect the money to be spent foolishly until blacks as a group take up the philosophy of Clarence Thomas and reject that of Obama, Jackson and Sharpton.

Maybe we should take note.  Maybe we should observe that when the blacks finally took over in Zimbabwe they did some pretty bad things there.  You might respond by thinking that they will not kill white farmers here.  Possibly not.  Maybe only increase the demonstrable racism of affirmative action.  Limit freedom using coercive techiques like censoring the voice through convenient decisions that allowed Obama to appear but woops all of a sudden Palin can not. 

Democracy is a meritocracy or it is nothing at all.  You have to accept failure as a possibility to be free.  Oprah is now currently rejecting the idea of failure of Obama because of her strong desire to control.  And do not be fooled.  People do not have as much money as her without being control freaks.   Where do you think she summons the will to take care of business?

You have to ask yourself what sort of United States of Zimbabwe she has is mind for us?  Has Oprah turned in Stedman in trade to marry Robert Mugabe ?     And finally she has more money that god. If she insists on being so anti democratic could she not just buy a small African country where they are so accustomed to dictators and leave the one true capitalist democracy in the world alone?  The poor people under all those dictatorial governments of the world need a place to run to.  They do not need Oprah Winfrey standing there waiting with a machete waiting to cut off hands.
