Butterflys are Delicate - Handle With Care

As I have mentioned in a previous post I am making a big move and I can not take much of anything with me.  I re-found this metallic butterfly as I was cleaning up and organizing. It is from a trip in 2004 with Carla to San Diego. We had stopped for lunch in Dateland Arizona. The date shakes there are the best. When we were returning to the car I noticed this butterfly on the sidewalk. It reminded me of Carla who is so very pink. It was part of a broken hair clip. I picked it up and placed it on the dash board of the card. It road there with us the rest of the trip.Â
I didn’t treat Carla well enough. She’s a butterfly and you just can’t be a horse in a china shop with a butterfly. They have to fly away for their own good when you are a rough person.
Of all the mistakes I’ve ever made loosing Carla Valle Rego Sousa’s heart is the biggest.Â

The borbaletas in Brasil are very beautiful. I’ll keep my hopes alive I know but I doubt I’ll ever be forgiven. No one is indespensible.  I must toss the metal butterfly now but the question of why I am so damned stupid and inflexible will travel with me in the shape of a butterfly.
Now I only have myself to blame.
