I removed linoleum and masonite from a floor and discovered distressed pine floor boards.  A wipe of a wet rag suggested that this floor could be beautiful with no added wood flooring.  Thus began the microproject of how to work the pine flooring.  I decided that sanding was not a great idea because much of  the character of the pine boards was lost when I did a test spot sanding. What I discovered with some googling was that first cleaning and then oiling the wood was the way to go.

I will try both teak and tung oil and report back with photos.
