A probe of gas prices is pretty much furniture re-arrangement. The government likes the extra tax money due to higher gas prices and it costs what it costs to pay the oil company, workers and shareholders to actually do the work to get the damned stuff so no amount of probing of John Edwards is going to bring the price down.
But in keeping with his femmy nature John probably loves re-arranging furniture. He could really be novel and suggest eliminating all state and local taxes on oil. In the interest of the little guy of course.
