Oh my! Hey I learned that I need to pass stones when they are small. So every month I go and jump off a 4 foot tall ledge and shake my body. It seems to knock the small kidney stones loose and I am able to pass easily. Anything less than 1mm is very easy for me to pass. Others are not the same way. Either way it’s better to pass when small than when large!

I like some others produce kidney stones regularly, for the past 20+ years I've produced about 1 each month. About a year ago, production of stones went into overdrive I now have at least 1 a week, some weeks or on a single day I will pass 3.or more.

Where I live getting an appointment for a CT scan can be ridiculous. Last Tuesday my doc put in for the CT scan stat, approval from the insurance came back the next day, and I called radiology. The phone just rang for 90 minutes. The next day I hade another doctor appointment so after that appointment I went to radiology to see when the first possible time was that I could get the CT scan, it was about 3:15 pm, the receptionist at radiology said "we don't take appointments after 3" I said that's fine I'm just looking to make an appointment. She replied "You don't seem to understand, we Only make appointments between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday" me: so I can't make an appointment? Her: You said it was for a stat CT scan? Let me find it, here's your record, Oh it's not marked as stat, Let me fix that. 15 minutes later, I ask okay now that it's in as stat, can I make an appointment?n Ad she says No, appointments can only be made Monday through Friday from 9:00 until 3:00. I asked what the last 15 minutes was for, she says it's so that it's marked as stat so that I will get a call the next day, and then she continued Don't call in to make an appointment. Because it's stat We will call you with the first available time. Okay, well the next day was Friday they didn't call I tried calling them about 2:00 wanting to beat that 3:00 deadline, I got through this time and was told that they told me not to call that they would call me, and that person is making calls now, I never got a call.

Now it's Sunday I'm still waiting for a call on Monday before 3:00 I'm going to go back to radiology and check on things.

At this point I passed the kidney stone that was giving me problems, with all the stones that I've been having I think I'm just going to go ahead and Make the appointment have the scan done and see if there's a whole bunch in the queue.

I used to live in San Diego, medical scans, surgeries, procedures, appointments, everything was so much easier. Now I live near Las Vegas and I swear it's like what I would consider, maybe not a third world country but not modern-day medicine either.

As I understand it you should really limit the number of CT scans you get due to radiation levels. For those with issues getting in here where I am in Brazil I pay 3000 flat for laser endoscopy when I have a really big one. The rest I can pass.
