Dr. Landowsky was a Russianized Pole and lived in Russia. His father, a Colonel of the Russian Imperial Army, was shot by the Bolsheviks during the 1917 revolution.

The life-story of Dr. Landowsky is astonishing. He finished the Faculty of Medicine in Russia before the revolution and then studied two years at the Sorbonne in Paris, and he spoke fluent French. He was interested in the effects of drugs on the human organism, to help surgeons in operations.

Being a talented doctor, he carried out experiments in this field and had achieved considerable results. The all-seeing NKVD (secret police) became interested in these works and easily discovered the real author. His specialty was very valuable for them. One day in 1936 there was a knock at the doctor's door.
He was invited to follow, and he was never again allowed to rejoin his family.

He was placed in the building of the chemical laboratory of the NKVD near Moscow. He lived there and was forced to carry out various jobs given to him by his masters, he was a witness at questionings, tortures and the most terrible happenings and crimes.

This book is an exact recorded report of the questioning of the former Ambassador in France, C.G. Rakovsky during the period of the trials of the Trotskyists in the USSR in 1938, when he was tried together with Bukharin, Rykoff, Yagoda, Karakhan, Dr. Levin and others. The questioning took place in French by this agent. The doctor was present in order to put drug pills unnoticed into the glass of Rakovsky, to induce energy and a good mood. Behind the wall the conversation was registered on apparatus, and the technician who operated it did not understand French.

Then Dr. Landowsky had to translate into Russian, with two copies, for Stalin and Gabriel. Secretly he dared to make a carbon copy, which he hid anyway.

Foghat was before Saratoga Performing Art Center / Doobie Brother's concert.  Summer physics program for high schoolers – Went along and caught a contact buzz.  When I got home to East Palestine I stopped in to see best buddy roo Nick Puccini and he was lifting weights and looked "swoll".   Asked if he had been lifting a lot.  He said yes.  That was a lie.  He was schmoking the hohokum  He say he no schmokem the hohokum.  But he schmokem.  Then because I'd already done most of my high school course work to the point I was already going to YSU ( also known as UCLA – University Corner of Lincoln Avenue) for advanced maths it meant every day I could sleep into noon if I wanted before heading off to some lame history course at EPHS.  Naturally I ended up schmoking a lot of the hohokum.  I rarely got to sleep in past 8am though because our toaster had a burnt out element and my cheap skate mother would not buy a new one.  Well she was already losing her mind due to alzheimers although we did not know it and so the toast would burn as her back was turned then our smoke detector would go off and the sleeping was done.  :cylon:

I would however wake up Dazed and Confused.

Steps

1. Running on Php 7.4 – went to 8.0 – does not work – flagged by email that comment editor plug in errored out. Current plugin: Mihdan: Ajax Edit Comments (version 6.1)
2. Disabled Plugin == Current plugin: Mihdan: Ajax Edit Comments (version 6.1)  – result was a partial rendering of individual webpages.  Header was there content not.  Backend interface rendered
3. Since backend rendered – changed theme to default and this errored out with Php=8.0 – error email received with link for "recovery mode"
4. Changed theme back to Hestia and reverted to PHP=7.4
5. Updated Hestia theme – went to php=8.0 and again rendered partial same as step #2.   
6. reverted to php 7.4
7. Added code to function.php to  eliminate related pages in Hestia theme.  All functioning normally again at this point.
8. Used PHP compatibility scanner plug in.  See results below
9. Disabled the list of plug ins – set Php = 8.0 and site rendered – Trouble was with rendering base URL page not blog entries.
10. set php = 8.1 ( recommended ) and site rendered
11. WP-FileManager plugIn errored out  – disabled
12. CUSTOMIZE / Widgets / Header / Background /  – on left menu errors out – claims to send email – none received – This is due to residual problem with CKEditor.  Disabling CKEditor plugin allows these items to render

• Mihdan: Ajax Edit Comments  1st round – confirmed problem – deleted
• Optimal Title  2nd round – reversed and still worked
• Register Plus   2nd round – reversed and still worked
• Search Excerpt   2nd round – confirmed problem – deleted
• Yoast SEO Premium   2nd round – reversed and still worked.
• WP-Filemanager – 3rd round – disabled.

Conclusion

Had I paid closer attention to what rendered and what did not I would have seen a clue to which plugin was causing the issue.  Individual posts were rendering but the top index page was not. This is where Search Excerpts plugin was used.  This with the following assumption:

• Themes are unlikely in recent versions to cause php compatibility issues.
