Lectures on Quantum Computation by David Deutsch – Includes Best Grover Search Algorithm Explanation Unit 6
Well done and short. Effective. Presentations were prepared for a company IIRC
- Lecture 1: The Qubit Worked Examples
- Lecture 2: Interference Worked Examples
- Lecture 3 : Measurement Worked Examples
- Lecture 4 : The Schroedinger Picture
- Lecture 5 : A Quantum Algorithm
- Lecture 6 : Grover's Search Algorithm
Videos: Some of the videos on Youtube are of very low resolution

Lecture 2
The simplest quantum property demonstration I have ever seen is copied from Lecture #2. Thinking classically you would conclude that the photo would exit vertically 50% of the time and to the right 50% of the time. But it always exits to the right. If I understand correctly for the simplest experiment you would not even need a single phone detector / counter. You could just see you get output to the right and zero in the vertical directly of the second 1/2 silvered mirror. You can also place a barrier in the upper horizontal path and that causes 1/2 the photons to exit vertical and 1/2 to exit to the right.
In practice the system is arranged so it can us a single beam splitter plate as follows.

How to Disable Web Quick Search Results on a Windows 10 Search
For those of you with older versions of Windows 10 this is the method. It include creating the "Explorer" key in the registry and its entry and value.
This procedure also seems to have gotten rid of the stupid advertisement that is in the search bar on the right hand side.

Uncle Ernie Neptune
The impatience of nicotine.
Yeah that nicotine will give you the "Uncle Ernie Neptune syndrome". He was an avid pipe smoker and when irritated he had a special kind of nicotine tirade he would launch into. I knew what it was an so it was good for quite a laugh. He was married to my mother's twin and she was in contrast to my mother a bit naive. She would say something delightfully naive and he would launch. He managed to quit the pipe and passed at age 90. No old age home for him. His daughter found him sitting in a chair at 49 South Edgehill in his living room. Same sort of short rage would occur when they would receive a prank phone call that went like this:
"Beep Beep beep beep…..this is mars calling Neptune. Mars calling Neptune"
Obviously before caller ID was common.
