How to Show and Hide Text in WordPress Posts with the Toggle Effect

Summary – follow the sequence

  1. To see an example of what this does go here and click on "Show Transcript"   below the video.  A transcript of the video has been placed there.
  2. Show Hide Toggle Text PlugIn on WordPress
  3. Upload to the plugin directory and activate from your plugin control panel.  No further configuration is required.
  4. Modify the tags to suit your application.  My most likely usage is with long texts that I want to be indexed by google and probably will not be read by humans.  See the code for that below:

User roles determine the access level or permissions of a person authorized (invited by an Administrator) to use a WordPress.com site.

Summary

  • Administrator – nothing is off limits
  • Editor – has access to all posts, pages, comments, categories, tags, and links.
  • Author – can write, upload photos to, edit, and publish their own posts.
  • Contributor – has no publishing or uploading capability, but can write and edit their own posts until they are published
  • Follower (public sites) / Viewer (private sites only) – can read and comment on posts and pages
