Fix: Ubuntu Linux Boots to Memtest86 repeatedly

I was unable to complete the fix.  I suspect it will return so I am storing my research links here.  

• How do you stop memtest  turns out my hard drive was knocked out of grub somehow.  
• LinuxLive USB creator – I believe this is for work on a windows machine.  Did not help
