The following are two different views of the same thing.

  • Constant probability in a given interval of time = an exponential function
  • Constant rate of growth = an exponential function.

Now given a fluctuating currency market where a steady 5% is charged to exchange money how much does the Casa do Cambio make?

A simple model would have a fixed exchange rate at 1:1.  Starting with 1000 USD and charging 5% how does the money grow with 1 transaction per day?

  1. 1000
  2. 1050
  3. 1102.50
  4. 1157.625
  5. 1215.50
  6. 1276.28
  7. 1340.09
  8. 1407.10
  9. 1477.55
  10. 1551,33
