MediaWiki Skins – Problem with making the mediawiki software work after following directions the install would not run
Summary
Not all versions of skins will work with a given version of mediawiki software. What I found noted was that each version of mediawiki software has a matching equal version of skin. I could not get Vector skin default download you get when you go to the Vector skin page to work with the v1.35.14 mediawiki software I had to go to the repostory page and download v1.35 of the Vector skin.
Notes
- I could not get skins to work when I went from mediawiki 1.25 to 1.35.14
- Tried several skins – none worked. Some cause the wiki software to error out and not serve anything
- Went and downloaded a v1.35 Vector skin to match the v1.35.14 mediawiki install and it worked.

- Liberty – a Korean skin with does not have the mediawiki nerd look. MediaWiki 1.35 would not run with it.

Liberty Default skin of LibreWiki – Looks so good. You do not perceive it as mediawiki software which looks rather austere.
