Problem Copying File to USB Stick: Ubuntu Linux error while copying to – the destination is read only USB

Summary

Most of the issues with writing to the USB stick came from file errors on the stick.  Linux seems more sensitive to that.  I stuck the problem USB stick in a windows box and repaired it.  It then worked 1 time and then stopped working.  I was then prompted with "format if you want to use it" message.   Link #2 shows the Linux tool that can check the health of the USB stick or any other drive.

Process Steps

  • UseTerminal Command to list the devices hanging on USB ports:  df -l  
  • keyring-02 usb was hanging on:  /dev/sdb1
  • Remount the USB stick using:  sudo mount -o remount,rw  /dev/sda3

Observations – Pure Electrical Notes

  1. When I get in and close the door behind me the radio turns on
  2. Remote lock does not work
  3. Hatch latch buzzes twice after the care is started and I have rolled down the road a little bit
  4. Hatch unlocks when I park – when I get out I have to manually use the key to lock it.
  5. Instrument panel does not light up
  6. When headlight switches are set to ON – the key switch will not turn the engine off when I remove the key.  After I remove the key and switch the headlights off the engine stops.   You can also get the engine to stop if you press the brakes.
  7. When head light switches are set to OFF – when I press the brakes the headlights turn on!

 

Observation – Cooling System

  1. I have to keep replacing water – but I do not see any leaks

 

Observation:  Engine Operation

  1. Checked the spark plugs.  They all look dry.  Does not look like they are the problem
  2. Changed oil – first oil change after motor rebuild.  Looked the color of mud – No water found in the oil – went around the block – feels more powerful.  But started missing after just 2 minutes

  5. When I start up the engine when cold from over night –  engine runs smoothly
  6. After the engine heats up engine runs rough
  7. By the time I get home from a reasonable sized run the exhaust smells weird.  Gas not getting burnt correctly.


Observações – Notas puramente elétricas

–Quando entro e fecho a porta atrás de mim, o rádio liga

–Trava remota não funciona

–A trava da escotilha vibra duas vezes após o carro ser ligado e eu desci um
  pouco a estrada

–A escotilha destrava quando estaciono – quando saio, tenho que usar a chave
  manualmente para trancá-la.

–O painel de instrumentos não acende

–Quando os interruptores dos faróis estão em ON – o interruptor da chave não desliga o motor quando eu retiro a chave. Depois que eu retiro a chave e desligo os faróis, o motor para. Você também    pode fazer o motor parar se você pressionar os freios.

–Quando os interruptores dos faróis estão em OFF – quando eu pressiono os freios, os faróis acendem!

 

Observação – Sistema de arrefecimento

–Tenho que continuar trocando a água – mas não vejo vazamentos

 

Observação: Operação do motor

–Verifiquei as velas de ignição. Todas parecem secas. Não parece que elas sejam
  o problema

–Ja troucou fios das velas – nao tenta de novo – nao pago de novo pra fios.  
  Tenho outro pare atras na bolsa

–Troquei o óleo – primeira troca de óleo após a reconstrução do motor. Parecia
  da cor de lama – Nenhuma água encontrada no óleo – deu uma volta no quarteirão
  parece mais potente. Mas começou a faltar depois de apenas 2 minutos

–Quando ligo o motor quando está frio depois de uma noite inteira – o motor
  funciona suavemente.  Depois que o motor esquenta, o motor funciona mal

–Quando chego em casa depois de uma corrida de tamanho razoável, o escapamento
  tem um cheiro estranho. A gasolina não está sendo queimada corretamente.
