Several design features make the Plantronics MX500 headset the best I have used so far.
1- most importantly – sound quality is excellent going both directions. All the headsets I have used thus far either had insufficient volume on the other persons end or on the listening end
2- it does not cork like a stopper into your ear. very comfortable. If any loud noises come through its not forced directly into your ear canal.
3- the boom is adjustable using a ball joint at the root. Thus you are not struggling to bend a flexible boom that keeps bending back to original position
4- has a USB adapter. You can use this for VOIP / Skype or your cordless home phone.
Only drawback is that it does have a cord. But that allows you to save some money as this unit is only 50 USD.
