LSD should be legal

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

If you have read any of my other material you probably know by now I am a freedom loving, constitution worshipping mother-stupper.  However in the case of "crimes" that have no victim I can not agree with any other outcome than legality.  A note to you liberal jerks that does not include a bunch of taxes such as what is heaped upon cigarettes.  You appear so very manipulative when you want everything taxed taxed and taxed.  I’ve taken LSD.  The only real bad thing about it is that its made by amateur chemists. Therefore I do not recommend doing it.  However it should be legal.  If it was you could get grade A quality without the strychnine they tend to use to try and make it go further and therefore make more money.  This same philosophy applies to Methylamphetamines and on down the line.  I never have taken meth but had I done so I am sure I would not be addicted.  The talk of addictions are from the cases of compulsive users of drugs.   The problem is the amateur chemists.  I won’t try to argue the other drugs but pot and LSD simply should be legal. There is no reason to bother with these two items.  They are simply mental merry go rounds that people ride until they want to get off.

A very interesting observation by Hoffman in the animal studies of LSD follows….. A caged community of chimpanzees reacts very sensitively if a member of the tribe has received LSD. Even though no changes appear in this single animal, the whole cage gets in an uproar because the LSD chimpanzee no longer observes the laws of its finely coordinated hierarchic tribal order.

I write this in honor of Albert Hoffman the chemist who first synthesized LSD.  Below is his description of what happened when he experimented with the first intentional dose of LSD. Unfortunately he took a little too much and tripped his balls off. This was, altogether, a remarkable experience—both in its sudden onset and its extraordinary course. It seemed to have resulted from some external toxic influence; I surmised a connection with the substance I had been working with at the time, lysergic acid diethylamide tartrate. But this led to another question: how had I managed to absorb this material? Because of the known toxicity of ergot substances, I always maintained meticulously neat work habits. Possibly a bit of the LSD solution had contacted my fingertips during crystallization, and a trace of the substance was absorbed through the skin. If LSD-25 had indeed been the cause of this bizarre experience, then it must be a substance of extraordinary potency. There seemed to be only one way of getting to the bottom of this. I decided on a self-experiment.     Exercising extreme caution, I began the planned series of experiments with the smallest quantity that could be expected to produce some effect, considering the activity of the ergot alkaloids known at the time: namely, 0.25 mg (mg = milligram = one thousandth of a gram) of lysergic acid diethylamide tartrate. Quoted below is the entry for this experiment in my laboratory journal of April 19, 1943.

Self-Experiments

4/19/43 16:20: 0.5 cc of 1/2 promil aqueous solution of diethylamide tartrate orally = 0.25 mg tartrate. Taken diluted with about 10 cc water. Tasteless.

17:00: Beginning dizziness, feeling of anxiety, visual distortions, symptoms of paralysis, desire to laugh.

Supplement of 4/21: Home by bicycle. From 18:00- ca.20:00 most severe crisis. (See special report.)

Here the notes in my laboratory journal cease. I was able to write the last words only with great effort. By now it was already clear to me that LSD had been the cause of the remarkable experience of the previous Friday, for the altered perceptions were of the same type as before, only much more intense. I had to struggle to speak intelligibly. I asked my laboratory assistant, who was informed of the self-experiment, to escort me home. We went by bicycle, no automobile being available because of wartime restrictions on their use. On the way home, my condition began to assume threatening forms. Everything in my field of vision wavered and was distorted as if seen in a curved mirror. I also had the sensation of being unable to move from the spot. Nevertheless, my assistant later told me that we had traveled very rapidly. Finally, we arrived at home safe and sound, and I was just barely capable of asking my companion to summon our family doctor and request milk from the neighbors.     In spite of my delirious, bewildered condition, I had brief periods of clear and effective thinking—and chose milk as a nonspecific antidote for poisoning.     The dizziness and sensation of fainting became so strong at times that I could no longer hold myself erect, and had to lie down on a sofa. My surroundings had now transformed themselves in more terrifying ways. Everything in the room spun around, and the familiar objects and pieces of furniture assumed grotesque, threatening forms. They were in continuous motion, animated, as if driven by an inner restlessness. The lady next door, whom I scarcely recognized, brought me milk—in the course of the evening I drank more than two liters. She was no longer Mrs. R., but rather a malevolent, insidious witch with a colored mask.     Even worse than these demonic transformations of the outer world, were the alterations that I perceived in myself, in my inner being. Every exertion of my will, every attempt to put an end to the disintegration of the outer world and the dissolution of my ego, seemed to be wasted effort. A demon had invaded me, had taken possession of my body, mind, and soul. I jumped up and screamed, trying to free myself from him, but then sank down again and lay helpless on the sofa. The substance, with which I had wanted to experiment, had vanquished me. It was the demon that scornfully triumphed over my will. I was seized by the dreadful fear of going insane. I was taken to another world, another place, another time. My body seemed to be without sensation, lifeless, strange. Was I dying? Was this the transition? At times I believed myself to be outside my body, and then perceived clearly, as an outside observer, the complete tragedy of my situation. I had not even taken leave of my family (my wife, with our three children had traveled that day to visit her parents, in Lucerne). Would they ever understand that I had not experimented thoughtlessly, irresponsibly, but rather with the utmost caution, an-d that such a result was in no way foreseeable? My fear and despair intensified, not only because a young family should lose its father, but also because I dreaded leaving my chemical research work, which meant so much to me, unfinished in the midst of fruitful, promising development. Another reflection took shape, an idea full of bitter irony: if I was now forced to leave this world prematurely, it was because of this Iysergic acid diethylamide that I myself had brought forth into the world.

Rush Limbaugh Master of Chaos - Prince of Darkness er I mean Light, and lots of it

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

I have to admit to being tickled silly by Rush Limbaughs Operation Chaos.   I’m on the verge of peeing myself. You see OpChaos may be having some effect.  However I tend to believe that its quite possible it is having absolutely NO effect and Rush may share my opinion on the probabilities here.  There is actually no way of knowing. The really rich part is watching the candidates, pundits and main stream media squirm trying to either ignore it or address it or both! ( its possible!)  He’s definitely starting to get some of them very very psyche’d out.  If indeed he shares this opinion you can imagine he is about on the verge of wizzing in his britches too.  What entertainer or practical joker would not?  I use the term practical joker in the highest form of complement possible.  This is because the best practical jokes are done with a warm heart and by the highly intelligent.  Rush has the family lawyer genes in the verbal department.  He just didn’t waste them on being a lawyer. At its core whether it has effect or not in reality this is a high form of theatre that teaches better than any dry lecture ever could.  I envie Rusty.  This joke is beyond stellar.  He does all his machinations in public so you really can accuse him of much.  Yet it demonstrates by example alot of the machinations that do not see the light of day. Every day he is on the air he celebrates our constitution and thus I celebrate him.  Too bad our politicians so eager to get ahead don’t do the same.  In a world where politicians do indeed advocate even the dumbest ideas when it appears they can gain from it its truly amazing the talent Rush must have as he never really changes his core principles much if at all.  Yet he has more intellectual influence that most if not all politicians.  A couple of followup questions Rush…. 1- do you have one of those shoe phones?  Or was that Control ?  I can never keep that straight. 2- what is your chaos agent number?  get_smart_shoe_phone-rush-limbaugh-doctor-chaos.jpg

A Series of Videos on Electric Car Development

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

gm-ev1-series-hybrid.jpg   …… I’m not quite dead yet  ( Notice it says SERIES HYBRID on the side??? Talk about blowing a 10 year lead! ) We’re going hard towards electric cars now that gas is going above 4 dollars per gallon.  Watch the videos. See if you agree. Don’t get your hopes up too high that the cost of operation will be lower than gas.  Just like with ethanol if we use electricity for transport fuel it is sure to elevate the price thereof. Price pressure will be intense.  However it will help keep the money in country by using coal, nuclear and natural gas to power.  And give me a break if you think wind power is going to be cheap. This first video is so you can compare and realize how much engineering is going into the full up professional versions of electric cars. The EVette - Do not laugh too hard unless you have an engineering degree and can do better! Below is a sequence of videos showing various development efforts. Making Lithium Ion Batteries Wheel Motors: Power where its needed to minimize loss Volvo electric series hybrid effort Tesla Sports Car Test Thorr Electric Sports Car - www.thorr.eu A system component overview that allows you to see some of the components required An electric car drag races a Dodge Viper and Wins Chrysler is working on electric also  - the writing is on the wall, all the major car manufacturors appear to be working on an electric series hybrid Winding the coils for car electric motors NanoTech will help keep improving batteries Chevy Volt is on high priority track inside GM  - you know once GM starts doing it, it’s only a matter of time.  And indeed you could have said that with the Impact even though all those have been crushed.  It was a harbinger of things to come Mitsubishi - In wheel motors also  - I think this is the long term solution as its so space efficient and energy is not lost through long transmission machinery

The World is Waking up : How Capitalism is reshaping the rest of the world in Americas Image

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

I spent last evening drinking triple distilled vodka in the form of Caipirinha with my neighbors here in Brazil.  The current batch are all girls and are from Spain, Columbia. *( all girls, damn the luck ).  Their friend Camilo was here and they were trying to take advantage of the airline weekend promotions to get cheap tickets to Rio de Janeiro.  overhead-booking-tickets-on-laptop.JPG A few observational notes: 1- There are approximately 1 laptop per person no matter what country they are from  ( and you have to be careful it does not get stolen! ) 2- Some of their degrees are strange.  They study anywhere from architecture to tourism and physical Ed.  3- Most importantly countries like Columbia and Spain who were considered poor are now doing well enough to have kids that want to jerk off, burn jet fuel and go to Rio while they’re already in paradise! All those dollars shipped overseas have not bankrupted the USA.  They have been the means of waking up the world to capitalism.   Its a beautiful thing.  These people range in age from 20 to 30-ish and they’re all very good solid people whom I would trust.  The world is waking up.  The price of oil is going up now but that should be no surprise.  I’m sure we’ll find ever more ways to increase efficiency of all energy using devices and beyond that find sources of energy that will allow us to support the entire world with 1st world standards.  Its a good thing.  The world is full of good people and many of them are kept down by power hungry malevalent fools. Its something I hate to contemplate but it does not require alot of insight to realize this must be.  I’m proud of my country when I realize how many people are being liberated not by war but by commerce. By capitalism.   All that and most of it from white boys who are universally labeled the oppressors by those seeking to gain a quick buck through political bumsteer.  I have some faith the generations that come after that will be various shades of brown will do the same.  But its we pale faces with high adrenaline levels and tendencies not to listen to authority who started it all.  happy-bookers.JPG  Just like everywhere else you have to tweak the power plug position to get it to play.

Wesley Snipes Gets Three 3 years For Tax Misdemeanors Proves The worst crime is not murder but rather to not pay your taxes

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

Close your eyes: Now imagine the worst think you can possibly imagine.   Murder, heinous acts of wanton violence.  Children killed. Now know this. When the federal government does the same thing it imagines you not paying your taxes. Wesley Snipes was convicted today of tax misdemeanors and sentenced to 3 years in jail. Not felonies………Misdemeanors.  In tax court you are essentially considered guilty until proven innocent.  In a murder case you would be presumed innocent until proven guilty.  And thus I believe the worst crime in the government’s eyes is if you do not pay your taxes. A sad state of affairs.  In Brazil they merely make you pay your back taxes.  Our system is draconian in that regard.  Our system was founded by disobedient people.  People who realized you had to go beyond the law to ever attain the space to be free.   Now that same country is in many forms a socialist experiment.   Its appetite for tax money makes it a monster.

RIP MMGW: Man Made Global Warming as a Cause is Done

Monday, April 21st, 2008

Oil prices are at record levels and going higher.  See analysis for effect on USA economy.   In short order 2 years or less the cost of energy will be so high that no one will be willing to allow a higher tax to be levied on energies.   If so it will by practicalities be limited to a great extent.  Couple this with the abundant evidence that the world is now cooling and due to the sun not CO2.  In that MMGW is a complete and total canard to raise taxes it is obvious to me that its days as a cause are extremely limited.   Without the profit motive to keep it alive it will surely die.  RIP MMGW.

An Easy Mathematical Analysis of Where the Price of Oil is going and Who will Decrease Usage

Monday, April 21st, 2008

Currently demand is outstripping supply for oil. That’s the easy part. The price of oil will continue to go up until some group of people uses less and demand comes into line with supply.  Who will that be?  Currently the USA uses the most oil per capita of any group.   The dollar is falling in addition.  Thus the highest probability is that oil price equilibrium will be found when the USA reduces usage.   There are 2 trends that will affect this 1- The USA economy will slow down.  If we are not in a recession we will be by the time oil prices work their magic.  Already the housing crisis appeared to gotten us very close to recession. Oil insures it will happen. 2- There is a vanguard of series electric gasoline hybrid vehicles that will be coming on the market in the next 5 years.  Their success will in the longer term take pressure off of oil.  Look for efficiencies of all types to be increased.  We’re entering a period when no amount of drilling could ever keep up.  We should by all means be drilling as much as possible.  Before this chapter of the American economy is written there will be oil wells anywhere we think there is oil in the USA.  Its only a matter of time.  The pain will become so great that the electorate will finally toss out all the garbage liberal wilded eyed ecological arguments against drilling.  The ecological niche people think about most is the house they live in. A heuristic argument to further elaborate the dynamics of point 1 and 2 above:   -1- An American driver drives 250 miles per week -> Marginal benefit of last mile driven is very small. -2- A new Indian driver shortly before getting his first car drives 0 miles per week.  -> Marginal benefit of first mile driven is HUGE. -3- The demand for oil will be steady state when MARGINALBENEFIT ( AMERICAN ) = MARGINALBENEFIT( INDIAN ) Obviously the new drivers can afford / justify their first mile much more than an American driver can justify increasing miles driven from 250 to 251 miles per week.  Its that simple.  T We’re in for some rough times ahead.  As the Chinese philosopher said "rough times are just another word for opportunity" ( paraphrasing) Now for a quick arithemetic prediction of where the price per barrel of oil is going: -1- use demand finally declined a little = 190,000 barrels ( less than 1% ) -2- chinese demand increased by 330,000.  If I had the USA decline figure all by itself I would simply use theory of oscillators to say the price of oil will go to about 200 dollars / barrel.  See the chinese figure leave me thinking that the demand will remain inelastic for some time to come.  Thus currently I’m predicting north of 200 before equilibrium is restored. What to do? If you are not currently for drilling everywhere we can in the USA you soon will be.  The answer is to DRILL DRILL DRILL.  The alternatives energies will be too long in coming.

Indiana Governor Contact Information Phone Number Email: People need to get over Governor Daniels, already

Monday, April 21st, 2008

indiana-governor-mitch-daniels-pencil-neck-geek.jpg Mitch the Erectile Dysfunction:  Let’s put a choker collar on these guys By his thinking I guess it’s time we get over Lincoln too…what an antique!   While we’re at it, let’s get over Washington, Jefferson and Franklin. What the hell did they know about running a nation? And what about that dusty old Constitution and Bill of Rights? The voters of Indiana should dump Governor Daniels for his Reagan comments. I know it might mean a democrat governor is elected. That will be tough luck. He is not fit to shine the shoes of Ronald Reagan. He must be removed.  This is the type of thing that makes me think let B.O. or Billary win.  Its better than eating these limosine republicans crap.  If you think you’re going to increase McPain turn out with comments like this?  You have lost your mind. Let him know his value is low. This guy needs to be taken down to the point his ego level matches his true value. This value is negative.   Phone: 1_317_232_4567 Write: Office of the Governor Statehouse Indianapolis, Indiana 46204-2797   Governors Email Form
