Adobe User Information Leak – The Crossword Puzzle

Adobe got hacked and millions of passwords plus password hints were leaked.  XKCD made a comic depicting a crossword puzzle based on the leak:

And once done you knew it was only a matter of time before someone made the real thing. You can see that here: Live Adobe CrossWord Puzzle Page

Microchip Fluid Level Sensing using TDR

Included are a presentation, Design, and BOM files in a ZIP file. The schematic capture and board layout are in DIPTRACE.   The simulation files are done using LTspice from Linear Technology. This is a free program from LT. You will need to replace the.bjt file from LT with the file I included as I added a model for the BFG591 transistor used.

The transition from Classical to Quantum Mechanical Physics

The top diagram shows a collection of particles on the left side of a divider.  If you imagine removing the divider the motion in aggregate is going to be described by a decaying exponential with a real term in the exponent.

The lower diagram shows the same setup with only one particle.  Since we intend on looking at it in particular it is obvious that a decaying exponential will not be sufficient.  Once the particle manages to travel from the left half of the divider to the right half of the divider it has the same level of chance to return to the left side.  Thus it requires some sort of imaginary term in the exponential if we assume that diffusion still reigns as the mechanism of transport

In the Feynman lecture on physics there is a derivation of the Schrodinger wave equation that assumes difusion of the type in the second image.

Summary of Process

First I went and bought a usb-floppy, recommend to look at ebay and wait and have saved the $30+.

Then download the attachment above and extract that to anywhere you want.

* Plug in the usb-floppy into a working computer.
* Open the CRISDISK folder and run the program wincris.
* Check Create MiniDos Crisis Disk
– Then click Start, then OK
* A floppy format program will pop up
– Leave the Volume Label blank
– File System (Fat), and
– Default Allocation Size
– And make sure that Quick format and Create a MS-DOS startup disk are NOT checked.
* Click Start, then OK
– wait for it to finish then select OK then Close and wait again for the program to finish.
* While you wait go to

http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html

and search up your laptop in my case (dv2910us)
download the bios update and extract the program. (Winrar can do this) look for the WPH file and rename it BIOS.WPH copy that to the floppy and overwrite the file already on there.
* Safely remove the floppy.
Now take out the battery of your laptop and unplug the power.
Plug in the usb-floppy
Press Win+B
And while doing so plug in the ac adapter
power on the laptop and you should hear 3 beeps.
Your floppy drive can be heard working
Then you will hear alot more beeps they will not be consistent so wait about 10 minutes.
If the computer does not auto shutdown by then manually do so.
Power back on the laptop with the usb-floppy unplugged and there you go.
A working laptop.

Fernando Rangel is said to use ADS much and Cadence much less.  This may defeat my objectives.
